WELCOME!
We talk alot about documentation & why it matters to our deafblind kiddos. Well I think it matters to us too! So here are some documented moments in time....

Ford Atkinsonfrom Houston's FOX affiliate came to our house today to do a story on Lauren. We are so excited to see our girl on TV tonight at 5:30! We'll post a link if they put the story up online.

This is a big day. Lauren's summertime Orientation and Mobility teacher, Amy Tange, decided to try to teach Lauren how to use a cane. Lauren is already an independent little spirit. Using a cane is big step toward being -safe- and independent.

When lauren was getting in the car in the backseat she normally just puts her foot up on the back of my seat and pushes herself into her seat, even though I'm always talking to her. BUT with hearing aids on the other day she stopped and for the first time reached and climbed b/w the front seats and sat on the console grinning like....this is where you guys have been all this time???? I really think she thought the car was just the row of back seats. Making progress!!

Big thanks to Kingwood Christ the King Church for having Paul and I come and speak to the children's group. The children had fantastic questions and were so attentive for the entire hour. We are so happy to be able to share Lauren's story with the children and want to especially thank Shannon Rains for reaching out to our family. It was a special treat to be able to meet the elders after our talk and make some new friends :)
Thanks Church of Christ!!
